As an Interpreting Project Manager (PM), you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of interpreting services to our clients. You will manage interpreting assignments from start to finish, ensuring every project is efficiently scheduled, staffed with the right interpreter, and delivered with exceptional quality. This is a dynamic and highly collaborative role requiring strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm PST time zone.
Location: open to candidates based in Latin America (remote position)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate interpreting assignments by scheduling qualified interpreters based on client needs, language pairs, and areas of specialization.
- Assign interpreters using our scheduling system and ensure all job details are communicated clearly.
- Monitor project timelines, ensuring all assignments are completed on schedule.
- Collaborate with account managers and clients to clarify project requirements and expectations.
- Maintain high service quality by reviewing interpreter performance and gathering client feedback.
- Negotiate interpreter fees and manage assignments within the allocated budget.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams and clients to address changes, risks, or issues.
- Maintain accurate records for all projects, including contracts, communications, and invoicing documentation.
Requisitos
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or scheduling (experience in the language services industry strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working remotely and independently with minimal supervision.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A natural organizer with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume project environments.
- An excellent communicator with strong customer service instincts.
- Familiar with interpreting or translation industry practices (preferred).
- Tech-savvy and experienced using scheduling or CRM systems.
Preferred Tools & Software:
- Interpreter Intelligence (or similar scheduling software).
- Microsoft Office Suite.
