Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead global teams (including internal and external, direct and indirect reports)
- Prepare, analyze, and implement project plans following Welocalize standards
- Manage project workflows, including project start standards, workflow, completion, status updates, invoice approvals, client information updates, etc.
- Create and manage project schedules
- Estimate project costs and prepare proposals for customer approval
- Assess risks and plan strategic activities to minimize potential issues
- Manage QA projects, including resource allocation, defect management, and reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align project and client objectives
- Develop and prepare process documents as needed
- Operate with a medium level of support, recognizing and escalating issues beyond control in a timely manner
- Work with the production team to continuously improve project delivery and profitability
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues in other departments and vendors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer contacts at the project level, achieving measurable success in customer ratings
- Communicate effectively and promptly with all stakeholders involved in projects, including clients and production business units
- Ensure finance system data is accurate and up to date
- Generate reports, including weekly project status updates, budget-to-actual comparisons, time management reports, and client/vendor issue reports
- Maintain project profitability by managing margins effectively
- Plan, prepare, and conduct quarterly business reviews with clients in person
Requisitos
Requirements:
Education Level:
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with equivalent industry experience in lieu of a master’s degree
Experience:
- Proven track record in project management
- Experience working internationally or directly with international product development
- Experience in a technology-related company
- Proven experience managing large clients
- Proven success in managing large accounts and projects
- Experience authoring client documents, including statements of work (SOWs), proposals, processes, and post-mortem reports
- Proven ability to contribute actively to process and idea development
- Proven experience participating in new client sales cycles, including presentations, analysis, recommendations, and relationship development
- Experience managing financial budgets, budget reconciliation, and budget reporting
- Experience with Translation Management Systems (e.g., GlobalSight, Idiom WorldServer, SDL TMS)
